Re: New Disk Enclosure Web page for HPE Disk Enclosure Firmware

Great!

How about other MSA expansion enclosures?

I miss for example the P2000/MSA2040 expansion enclosure firmware S200B41.bin

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Hi Torsten!

I really like the way you are thinkings.   We are very close to adding the MSA expansion enclosure firmwrae on to the MSA Firmware site:  www.hpe.com/storage/MSAFirmware

We are just finalizing this and hope to have it published soon.   I will make a post in the MSA community once available.

Cheers!

Hi Giladzzz!

I agree with you that it is difficult to locate the drive firmware on the HPE Support Center for both MSA and the Disk Enclosures.    We are working to improve this.  In the mean time I recommend the following:

  • Visit the MSA drive firmwrae page to determine the latest drive firmware for your drive:  www.hpe.com/storage/MSADriveFirmware  On this page you can just search for drive model number.
  • Now knowing the lastet firmware version visit the HPE Support Center
  • Search for the folliwng:  MSA <drive model #>   (for example the "MSA EH0146FCBVB" would be your search string)
  • Change the sort to "Sort by date" and you should find the Smart Componenet for the firmware upgrade in the result set

Cheers!

Re: New Disk Enclosure Web page for HPE Disk Enclosure Firmware

Today, April 13, 2018, we updated the MSA Firmware site (www.hpe.com/storage/MSAFirmware).   It now includes the latest Drive Enclosure Firmware for the MSA Expansion module and the D2700.

At top of the page you will see a new tab/button to click to view the "Drive Enclosure Firmware"

Take a look and feedback is always welcome.

Cheers!
