Hi. You can. But you may not get help from your support/void your warranty. If possible use drives with the same model number, at least then drive is ok. But maybe firmware is not.

Thanks for the reply! I fully intend on using all the exact same model and firmware version. I want to use all new Seagate Savvio 15K.3 300GB drives. As of now, HP doesn't offer any 2.5" 300GB 15K drives. I'll update this post when I can confirm this myself. Thanks again!

Ah.

No what I meant with same model is the same ones that HP do support.

But sounds nice with the 300GB 2.5" - hope it works!
