Hi all,
To add a new LFF enclosure to a P2000 G3 can we use the current HPE MSA 2050 LFF Disk Enclosure (Q1J06A)?
And if yes can we also use the current MSA drives or is there any requirements (controller firmware for example).
I tried Spock but could not find this information...
Best regards,
Rui

SolutionHi Rui brito,
The recommended LFF disk enclosure for P2000 G3 MSA is listed below:
HP P2000 Dual I/O LFF Drive Enclosure - Product number: AP843B
MSA G5 series disk enclosures are not recommended to be used with P2000 G3 MSA.
Go with the recommendations in MSA quickspecs sheet:

Re: P2000 G3 and 2050 LFF Enclosure
The information provided by Arun_r is not correct.
In document c04123144, from HP, it says in page 37, top:
Date Version History Action Description of Change
05-Mar-2018 From Version 28 to 29 Added Added MSA 2050 SFF and LFF Disk Enclosures as
supported options on the MSA 2040 storage systems.
