Performance Advisor Metrics

When we request a xp512 audit once or twice a year we get back as part of the audit Back-end Transfer metrics and graphs. Now our group leaders want us to compare where we are now to our audits, but some of the metrics are not part of the regularly collected metrics of an EXPORTDB. How can we collect the following metrics.

Cache-to-drive I/Os
Drive-to-cache random I/Os
Drive-to-cache sequential I/O

Re: Performance Advisor Metrics

On my HITACHI 9960 (XP512's equivalent).. I use Hi-Track software tio gather virtually all stats on the frame. I believe you can also export the raw data to a CSV or text formatted file for input into more sophistacated grahing tools...

Re: Performance Advisor Metrics

You will need to add the "-dver 010600" option to the exportdb command line. This will output three files.

You may also need to edit the exportdb script to add a -mx option to the java command line.
