A need to configure a new storage for my data center, the application user already gave me their IOPS number for each application, for the capacity requirement i need to go with EVA 6/8400, but i can't find the performance white paper that has the IOPS statement.
Anyone knows where to find IOPS data for those storage systems?
I only have the whitepaper for EVA 4400
Thanks.
IEO

Also, the type of RAID (0/1/5/6) influences the read / write performance.

Multiply by the number of disks you're going to purchase.
And read this:

Re: Performance on EVA 6400/8400
Why at those sources has different number??
#FC 10k drives = 120 IOPs or less
#FC 15k drives = 170 IOPs or less
15K Fiber Channel
VRAID-1 115 VRAID-5 73
10K Fiber Channel
VRAID-1 83 VRAID-5 53
But a will use the less number for safe ^^,
Many thanks vcespon

Re: Performance on EVA 6400/8400
So a '15k' disk's rotational delay is a bit shorter and assuming that the positional delay (moving the head between cylinders) is about the same it can perform more I/Os per second.

Re: Performance on EVA 6400/8400
what I mean is at those 2(two) sources, the same 15K HDD has different IOPS score.
I know that 15 K has higher rate than the 10K, Now I just waiting for the SSD IOPS Benchmark, it will be soooo fastttt.. (at soooo higgghhhh cost :P )

Re: Performance on EVA 6400/8400
Also, they are total IOPS, like in an VRAID0 disk. In case the vdisk is VRAID 1 or 5, there are more operations done per read or write.
