Problem Installing Commandview 1.08.01

I am trying to install Commandview on a rp3440 11.23 and it keeps getting errors that the Storage Area Manager is a pre-requiste. I read in another thread that SAM is not required to install CV. If so, how do I install CV without SAM and if I need SAM, how do I get it to install it?
