Question for anyone familiar with HP D6000 enclosure
I have an HP D6000 enclosure attached to a Gen9 server via SmartArray P431 controller. If I physically remove a disk from the enclosure that is unassigned (and was never part of any array), the ID light on the front panel for that slot # turns amber and stays amber. HP Cissesrv, via Windows Event Viewer, reports a "drive failure" even though the details show the reason as REMOVED_IN_HOT_PLUG.
Is this normal behavior? How can I clear the amber drive ID light? I now have a bunch of empty drive slots and a few in the middle look like failed drives because the drive ID stays amber. The P431 doesn't show anything as not healthy.

Re: Question for anyone familiar with HP D6000 enclosure
Hello @singtoeil,
NO worries. That is normal behavior. The system considers the event as 'a drive was identified in the slot but abruptly removed'.
