RAID 4si configuration does not create SCSI device

Hi,
I am configuring a DS2100 with an internal RAID 4si. The configuration appears to work but I cannot create the SCSI devices for the two logical drives created in irm. The procedure I follow after leaving irm is:
1. irdisplay -v
2. insf -e
3. irdisplay
When I try ioscan -fnC disk I just get the internal disks and the DVD rom drive. Can anyone help me ?

I'm not sure if my last post made it up or not. In any case, it would be useful to see the output of those commands you ran.

Seen a similar problem in the past.

Try rebooting the server and re-issuing the commands.

Re: RAID 4si configuration does not create SCSI device

I have just rebooted the server and reissued the comands - and the SCSI devices now appear. First impressions indicate that it is possible to create the volume groups and logical volumes on these devices. Thank you both for your input and interest in my problem.

Ah, yes, I should have remembered that one. We documented it in the "HP RAID 4Si Release Note", document J6173-90006 on http://docs.hp.com.
