RAID bind error

Hi,

I set up a RAID(10) with A0,A1,B0,B1 as RAID-1/0 Mirrored Pair (set up from SPA-A) and A2,A3,A4 as RAID-5 (from SPA-B) and everything seemed good. I completed loading my D350 including putting the DB on the Raid-5, but when I went to put the primary database on the RAID-1/0, the system didn't see the drive(s). After switching the cable back to SPA-A I unbound then attempted to re-bind A0,A1,B0,B1 as RAID-1/0, but got the following error code:

BIND ERROR IN A BIND MIRROR COMMAND
ERROR CODE = 8 HEX
DUAL BOARD BIND ERROR

Has anyone seen this before????

tks

Re: RAID bind error

The UNBIND may not have worked.
Note that a disk will not show up bound when binding on the other SP.

Check the other SP Gridmgr interface to see the disk status.

The problem is that the other SP still thinks the disks or one of them is bound to a lun.

You need to be careful of defaul ownership of the lun.
