RAID can not connect with host hp rx3600.

When our user use HP serer connect RAID storage, can not connect RAID.
The symptom is as follow:
host is hp rx3600 / OS hp-ux 11.31(IA)
FC HBA HP PCI-X 2.0 4Gb Fibre Channel HBA Part number AB378-60101)
Storage RAID is A08F-G2422 made by Infortrend Technology,Inc.

Case1: Set RAID in "point to point only" mode
but RAID can not link Up. the log message is as follow:

We want to know why Host can not connect to RAID ? And what is the root cause ?

Hello,

you need to check several things:

1.) is HPUX 11.31 supported with this kind of storage ?
2.) is direct connection (without using a fibre channel switch) supported ?
3.) are you using a supported Host Bus Adapters ?

There are usually strict rules that have to be followed in a SAN that comprises hardware from multiple vendors.

HP-UX is not mentioned in this document.

This does not neceesarily mean that this array does not work with HP-UX, maybe the manufacturer has not tested it yet.

To verify that the array is configured properly, connect it to a different server with a different OS and see if it works with that server.
