RAID1 to RAID5 on FC60 storage

All,

I have a HP surestore FC60 storage. All LUNs are configured in RAID1. I want to change this to RIAD5 so I can have some free space. There is no free space available on array.

Can I do this activity on-line ?

Re: RAID1 to RAID5 on FC60 storage

Hi
No, you can't do this activity on-line. You must delete (lun number 0 replace - unbind and rebind, options -R command amcfg) lun white RAID1 before create lun white RAID5.
-delete:
#amcfg -D LUN ArrayID
-create:
amcfg -L cntrlrID:LUN -d channel:ID,channel:ID,... {-r RAIDlevel [-c capacity] [-s SegmentSize] [-force]} [-V] [-?] ArrayID
