Re: RSS State - Why Unavailable?

RSS State - Why Unavailable?

Hi,

EVA4400, 8 Enclosures fully populated.
RSS state = unavailable.
I can see in this report (attached) that every RSS has a single disk in each enclosure, then, don't it should be parity?

Thanks for any input.

Regards

Re: RSS State - Why Unavailable?

Hello Sebastian,

In case of Enhanced Disk Group, RSS state shows "Unavailable".

Re: RSS State - Why Unavailable?

The ability to calculate/show this information has been deliberately removed by HP, at least in the public part of CV-EVA. When did it work for you the last time?

Re: RSS State - Why Unavailable?

Hi,

Thank you both for your responses.
The disk group is a basic disk group.

I've checked in two xcs 09006000 and 0951400, both shows the same. This report was obtained from the nsafieldservice.htm page of CV EVA.

So I should not worry about this and everything is ok as far as I have single disk form each RSS in each enclosure, right?

Thanks

Re: RSS State - Why Unavailable?

Right. The information was removed in order not to 'confuse the customer' - looks like the opposite happens...
