Re : MC Service Guard
Can anyone advice if this solution can work,
I have 2 x rp4440 connected to 1 x DS2300 . The DS2300 is configure using 4si Raid card. I have two database running on two vg . One is oracle and the other is informix. The question is assuming if I were to setup MC service guard on the two server to fail over the oracle and informix, will mc service guard support the raid configuration on the ds2300? I have 4 x 146GB disk on the Ds2300. Kindly advice???
Regards
Vincent

Re: Re : MC Service Guard
the install and admin guide
say in the "overview" section
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/J6173-90007/00/00/4-con.html
Features Not Supported
The new version (HP part number A5856-60101) of the HP RAID 4Si controller does not support the following features:
Multi-Initiator (connecting more than one controller to a single JBOD).
Regards,
Bernhard
P.S. this is true for the *old* version of the Raid 4si card as well.
