Hello Vincent,
First you will need to make a firmware update over MSA 1000. You need a FC switch to make MSA 1000 connect to the server. I dont know why but I did not succed it without a SAN switch.

Information is on the MSA1000's documentation page and you have to enable hard addressing if you use FC_AL.

There are two solution to connect MSA1000 in HPUX system.
one is HPUX_FC_HBA+FC_SAN_Switch+MSA1000(firmware is 4.32 or 4.38),
the other is HPUX_FC_HBA+MSA 1000(firmware must be 4.38)
