Recover data on RAID 0 disks moved from one server to another

Dear Helpers :-)
I've moved 2 72.6 Gb disks partitioned in RAID 0 from one server (DL380) to another (DL380) but on a Disk bay.
the disks are seen in the array card
BUT the Windows partition that i had created on the original server is not seen on the target server, so no data accessible

Does anyone know the magic trick ?

thanks in advance

Re: Recover data on RAID 0 disks moved from one server to another

Hello Mathieu,

Raid 0 does'nt have any fault tolerance which means if a disk is removed which is as good as failed/dead,the server will crash.

It may not work, but worth giving a try to recover.
Do the disks work on the original server?

Sandeep
thanks for your answer
yes the disks worked on the previous server.
This has been done specfically to migrate datas from one location to another.

On the array card management, the disks are seen as "available" for array management.. and not as RAID 0 disks

weird ?

the raid information is stored in the disk themselves. if you have more than these two harddisks, probably they are holding the raid info.
