Redhat - fibre - Hitachi

Hello,
i have a redhat 5 server connected in fibre to an hitachi storage.
Using lvm i graphic mode i'm not able to see my new disks..
How can i do create my phisical volumes?

I executed this commands:

[root@localhost ~]# hp_rescan -a
Adding legacy tape devices to /proc/scsi/device_info
Scanning /sys/class/scsi_host/host0
Scanning /sys/class/scsi_host/host1


scsi0 00 00 00 HITACHI OPEN-V*2 5001 RAID
scsi1 00 00 00 HITACHI OPEN-V*2 5001 RAID

[root@localhost ~]# hp_rescan -l
QLogic adapters:

Emulex adapters:
/sys/class/scsi_host/host0 /sys/class/scsi_host/host1
[root@localhost ~]# adapter_info
/sys/class/scsi_host/0: STATE=LINKUP WWNN=20000000c979ac18 WWPN=10000000c979ac18
/sys/class/scsi_host/1: STATE=LINKUP WWNN=20000000c979ac19 WWPN=10000000c979ac19

You mean to say HP-XP? which model 1024/12000/24000?

Have you restarted the server? If this is your first ever fiber connection to XP, the config guide suggests you to restart the server in order to recognize the new devices.

And run the commands;
# cat /proc/scsi/scsi
# cat /proc/partitions

Please post the outputs of these 2.
