Replace Y Battery in 12H

The display panel on a Model 12H disk array shows replace Y battery. We are almost finished using this server and array and would like to avoid an HP service call. What possible problems could we encounter if I don't get the battery replaced? The array has 2 controllers and the other batteries are fine.

Controller X:
Overall state = GOOD
Battery #0 state = GOOD
Battery #1 state = GOOD
DRAM #0 state = GOOD
NVRAM #0 state = GOOD
NVRAM #1 state = GOOD
Controller Y: Overall state = GOOD
Battery #0 state = DEAD
Battery #1 state = GOOD
DRAM #0 state = GOOD
NVRAM #0 state = GOOD
NVRAM #1 state = GOOD

Thanks.
testing is for wimps.....

Re: Replace Y Battery in 12H

If controller X fails, then you would be treading on dangerous ground with only 1 good battery in controller Y. If as you say you are almost finished with the server and array, then I woulnd't worry about it too much. Incedentally, if controller X were to fail, you could always shutdown the array and move the good batteries over from X to Y.
