Replacing failed disk in VA7100

Hi,

We have a VA7100 with a failded drive in it. We have a good spare and we want to swap it. It is attached to 989 box running MPE. What is the procedure for doing this? Any help would be appreciated.

It is very easy.

Verify using Command View that the status of the VA is OK.
The green LED next to the power button must be on and the amber LED must be off!

Then pull the failed disk, wait 15 sec then remove it. Wait some 30 sec and insert the new drive.
The VA then automatically starts redistributing data to all drives.
Verify the LEDs and status in Command view.
