SC10 adding new disk to existing array

Can I add a new disk to an existing arrary?
I have an array with 6 disks in RAID-5 and want to add one disk, not as HOTPLUG.
In irm the only option seems to be creating a new array.

Hi,

SC10 is a JBOD it does not have any raid controller so you can add another disk without any problem.

This can accomodate upto 10 disks.

Re: SC10 adding new disk to existing array

So you have RAID4si cards in your server yes?

Well it looks like you have to select "Management Menu" -> Advanced Menu and reconstruct your logical drive - see Chapter 4 of the manual here:

http://docs.hp.com/en/J6173-90007/J6173-90007.pdf

See the section on 'Changing a Logical Drives RAID Level'

Looks like you can't do this online, so make sure you backup all your data and unmount filesaystems before commencing...
