SC10 enclosure ID dial in FC60 configuration

Does the SC10 dial position switch actually matter in an FC60 configuration, because as
far as I gather the SC10 can't be cascaded.
The array should work with everything set to
0 for example.
Isn't it true that the LVD SCSI channel the
SC10 is attached to is the only important
SC10 identifier.

Bill
It works for me (tm)

Re: SC10 enclosure ID dial in FC60 configuration

No, the SC10 dial position switch actually does not matter in an FC60 configuration.

No, the SC10's can't be cascaded on an FC60 as each tray uses 12 SCSI addresses in full bus mode.

Yes, the array should work with all the address dials set to 0.

Yes, it is true that the LVD SCSI channel is on the FC60 controler is the only important
SC10 identifier.

Convention is to set the SC10 address dials to 1 through 6 but the FC60 buses are identified 0 through 5 (more confusion).

Plan for the future and tomorrow will take care of itself.
