SCSI ID changed for drive - Smart Array 641
Have a RAID 5 with a spare setup on controller above. One of the drives failed. The spare became active. Put a new drive in, the drive was assigned a different SCSI Id (5) from the failed drive (12). The new drive shows up as unassigned. Is there a way to manually assign the SCSI ID? I don't understand why it was assigned a different SCSI ID.
