SMARTarray 5i migration/extension
I was wondering what the best way to do the following is.
I have a 5i with two RAID1 logical drives. The first is 36GB using 2 36GB drives (and is a Linux system disk) and the second is 145GB using 2 145GB drives (a data volume). What I want to do is convert everything into a single RAID5 logical drive using 5 145GB drives.
I know I could convert each of the RAID1 drives into a RAID5 on the fly but I don't think I can combine the RAID1's then convert to RAID5 very easily - unless someone has a good idea???
