Server migration
I am hoping to move an NT system from one server to a new ML570 with an integrated array controller using a drive image.
Everything works well but the older system is using an older array controller which causes a blue screen on boot with the cause "innaccesible boot device". Can I upgrade the raid driver without reinstalling the OS?

Re: Server migration
all smarts are compatible with each other. but you might need a different driver (system starts booting -> then blue screen).
if you move from one system to another one you might have conflicts with other drivers (eg. NIC) and problems with the chipset (with a good chance both systems have a ServerWorks chipset - they are quite compatible) and with some windows registry entries.
drivers:
smart 3200 - 2p - 2dh - 2sl 221: cpqarray.sys
smart 4200 - 431 - integr. samart : cpqarry2.sys
smart 530x - 531 - 5i : cpqcissm.sys
