Setup and Installing EVA8K Expansion Cabinet

Does anyone know where I can find documentation on procedure for the subject matter?

Currently we have 146G drives in the EVA. We are extending with EVA expansion populated with 450G disks. Any consideration we should be mindful of? Or any particular items (cables, interface cardse etc) we should make we stock up on for the upgrade?

Thank in advance

Re: Setup and Installing EVA8K Expansion Cabinet

hi;
we did an upgrade from 72 GB to 300 GB.while adding disks, it is important to add one by one.
after adding each disk check the system discovered or not.

and also check disks and controller firmware version.
and don't add disk to the enclosure 17,18,19,20's bay13 and bay14 (rightmost).

regards,

Hi,

How many drives are you going to be upgrading to ?

One thing to keep in mind when using large drives, is the addressable storage limit of the EVA8000, of 200TB. This will be relevant if you're doing any snapshot or snapcloning.

Hope this helps,
