Smart 3200 Array Controller

I have an ML370 Rack Mount G1 with four discs (152188-001)in it. The server is operating correctly but all of the led on the front of the discs are illuminated. Any one know of the cause/cure. I have replaced controller but this remains

Re: Smart 3200 Array Controller

Have the disks always been like this? You say you have replaced the controller - a 3200 for a 3200? If the fault stays the same, then the likelihood of the 4 disks being faulty is probably slim...
Might be worth having a look at upgrading the firmware on the controller to the latest revision:

The disks aren't the newest either (9Gb 10K Ultra 3 SCSI?), there may be firmware updates for them also:

If all is well, you may not be bothered enough to go down the firmware route - do you have the latest Proliant Support Pack installed for your server(7.10)? Does it report the disks as good?:

Good luck.

Re: Smart 3200 Array Controller

I thought firmware would bve the place to start. It is running ok so I will probably wait for next reboot and carry out firmware upgrades then.

Thanks for your help
