Smart 5300 Controller
quick question:
I have a Netware 6 server with a Smart Array 5300 controller running raid5 over 4x72GB disks. The Array is 200GB and I want to add another disk and increase the NSS pool size.
Can anybody give me some idea how long it would take to add the extra 72GB disk to the array ?

Re: Smart 5300 Controller
Michael:
HP states that it can take 15 minutes per gig for expansion... and that is fairly true in my experience although I have seen expansion take as little as 6 minutes per gig.
Be sure to set the 5300 controller "Expansion Priority" setting to High before starting the expansion!

Enjoy!
