Smart Array 3200 Replacement

My smart array 3200 fails to initialize on one server but I do have a backup card. Can I simply insert the new card and attach the drives without data loss?

If there's a battery backup of the cache on the failed card, you might wanna swap the battery backed cache, to ensure there's no data loss if there is data in cache.
