Some question about HSV
Hi all
There is one HSV 110 which is an EVA5000 controller in our company.
I have responsibility to test it though there is no EVA in our place. And my boss wants me to confirm if it works well.
All I can do is the following:
Power on the HSV and the two power led is solid green.
And the information stops at "SYSTEM START SCANNING DISK" and never change while the battery led is solid red because there is no cache battery in the machine.
So I think it works well but I'm not sure
Can you give me some confidence?
Thx in advance.

Re: Some question about HSV
Shalom,
I don't think it works.
Solid red lights require attention. Your testing methodology is flawed.
You need to connect an actual machine to an actual EVA-5000 to test properly.

Re: Some question about HSV
But I think it's because of the lack of cache batteries and it's almost impossible for me to get an EVA machine.
Have you any other idea?

Re: Some question about HSV
If there is no cache battery in the system, it will NOT work! Don't waste your time with any tests, get fresh batteries first.
By the way: the storage array is called an EVA5000 and it is equipped with two HSV110 controller modules.
