Storage

Hi,

Very basic question. HP Surestore has been renamed to Storageworks??? For example Surestore XP 128 is now being called Storageworks array? Or both are one in the same?

Thanks.

Re: Storage

Hi,

I believe the answer is yes. I am not finding surestore xp* series in the retired product list.

From the specifications, it looks like it is the old surestore xp128.

Re: Storage

Yes, I saw a notice to that effect some months ago, if memory serves me.

Re: Storage

Storageworks sounds like an Compaq naming.

Re: Storage

My understanding is as under:

Storageworks is Compaq brand and is used by HP for all storage products.

Whereas SureStore is used for backup tape library kind of products.
