Switching from Microsoft DSM to HP DSM

I've read a couple of different ways to move from Microsoft DSM to HP DSM. I am wanting to understand what is HP's preferred process? We had some windows 2008 R2 servers that we had to deploy on Microsoft DSM due to initial issues in the 4.00 code. These have since been fixed and now we want to move back to HP DSM. But I want to ensure proper process without losing any of the disks that have already been created. It also is a cluster, so both nodes need to be moved this way.

I think that HP MPIO also using Microsoft MPIO framework only. You can directly install MPIO (4.0.1 which supports Cluster shared volumes).

HP MPIO is based on device specific storage model. If the server is connected to HP storage you can download HP Mpio from the link:

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom〈=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=MPIO&submit.x=5&submit.y=2 for windows 2008 R2 server.

Based on your HP storage model you can follow the installation guide for the MPIO version: 4.00.01 from link :

In the install guide you can refer to "Installing HP MPIO on a clustered system"
