Trusted System

Hi,
could anyone please tell how to convert HP Unix into trusted system.
I learned there is a option in SAM but I never been tried to do it.
After converting it, is there any implications like audit log generation etc because currently we have a disk space constraints.

Regards
Mehul

Re: Trusted System

You can do it from sam and also from command line..

/usr/lbin/tsconvert -c to convert to trusted and /usr/lbin/tsconvert -r to revertback.

This will generate a directory called /tcb and should not need much disk space. And I don't think converting system to trusted will create problem for auditing.
Before converting system to trusted please take a backup of /etc/passwd file.

-USA..
Good Luck..
