Unable to delete Vdisk
HI,
I am trying to delete some vdisk which are no longer in use. The Vdisks were at one stage presented to a HPUX host and part of a DR group, the presentations have been removed and the DR group deleted. When I try to remove the Vdisk it say that the operation failed because the disk is a member of a DR group.
The disk was removed from the DR group and the option to keep the secondary copy was chosen. When I check the Vdisk data replication tab it say's the vdisk is not a member of a DR group.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
D

Re: Unable to delete Vdisk
Two options on this case:
Try with SSSU, using SET OPTIONS
NO_SAFE_DELETE and then DELETE VDISK
Call HP, get a CE there to perform a controller resync, try again from Command View.

Re: Unable to delete Vdisk
Thanks for you replay. Can you explain what the nosafe_delete option does? What effect will this have on the array and should it be unset after?
Thanks,
D

Re: Unable to delete Vdisk
That's an option for SSSU, not for the array.
It lets you delete an vdisk if it's presented for example.
It's used when Command View does not allow you to delete something that it should allow.
