Unable to remove MSA logical disk
Hi all,
I have a MSA70 connected to a RHEL 5.8 box. Using the hpcuacli command...
I'm trying to remove a lun without success and I am not sure where my strumbling block is.
=> ctrl slot=1 ld all show

logicaldrive 24 (100.0 GB, RAID 5, OK)
logicaldrive 25 (100.0 GB, RAID 5, OK)
logicaldrive 26 (1.9 TB, RAID 5, OK)
I want to remove ld 26. The disk is unmounted on the system and lsof shows nothing is using it.
=> ctrl slot=1 ld 26 show
Smart Array P800 in Slot 1
array A
Logical Drive: 26
Size: 1.9 TB
Fault Tolerance: RAID 5
Heads: 255
Sectors Per Track: 32
Cylinders: 65535
Stripe Size: 64 KB
Status: OK
MultiDomain Status: OK
Array Accelerator: Enabled
Parity Initialization Status: Initialization Completed
Unique Identifier: 600508B100105439535A51304334003B
Disk Name: /dev/cciss/c1d25
Mount Points: None
OS Status: LOCKED
Logical Drive Label: AE904914PAFGF0T9SZQ0C4F03A
So when I go to delete the ld I get:
=> ctrl slot=1 ld 26 delete
Warning: Deleting the specified device(s) will result in data being lost.
Continue? (y/n) y
Error: Unable to delete logicaldrive 26. Please verify that the logical drive
is the last logical drive on the array and no other operations are being
performed on it.
Now, as far as I can tell it is the last logical drive on the array (how do I check?)
Is there something I need to do on the OS side since I see there is a LOCKED OS Status.
Thanks in advance,
Nigel
