Unwriteable Cache Data

After a hot shutdown of one of the disc, i have seen a message in the logs of a P2000 that says: "Unwriteable cache data exists for a volume. (Volume SN******). It comprises 1% of cache space."
After some time (several hours), this message disappears. Where did the data from the cache, and how the cache with the data?

Re: Unwriteable Cache Data

If you are afraid for data integrity, why not run a file check on the file system?

Also I don't understand your terminology.

Hot shutdown of one disc?

Re: Unwriteable Cache Data

I just pulled one drive.
Why unwritable cache data were initially in the cache, and then to have disappeared???

Re: Unwriteable Cache Data

Maybe the controller wanted to write some data to that disk you pulled. Then after rebuild it could write it?
