Upgrade ComandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2

i need to upgrade from CommandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2
it seems that i should deinstall CV then install the new version. if this is true, how should i handle licenses?
i don't have a copy of the licenses. how should i do keep them?

Re: Upgrade ComandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2

Hi,
there is no basic license change between the 4.1 and 6.02 CVE version. It is between the 6.x and 7.x versions
the pain is one part of the reality

What he wanted to say is that there is no 'electronic license key' you can lose. Up to V6 it is a 'paper-only' license.

Re: Upgrade ComandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2

Recently gone through this process.
We didnt have all the paper licenses for all tiers/products.
I contacted the local license centre and they helpfully sent me all our licenses. You can also access copies via the webware website.

Re: Upgrade ComandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2

The problem most often is that old licenses did not have an individual "HP Ordernumber". So you have to contact HP and ask to issue one and feed it into the webware portal.

Re: Upgrade ComandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2

Nappy, I would check the old delivery papers or ask your supplier for the HP Ordernumber which includes the CV-EVA license.
But yes, CV-EVA V6 does work without a license key.

Re: Upgrade ComandView4.1 to CommandView6.0.2

The BC and CA licenses do not change until V7. There are even registered within the EVA.
