Upgrading to 53xx in SCO OSRv5.0.6

I am trying to upgrade from the Integrated SMART controller in a DL380 to a 5304/128. I have installed the BTLD drivers as documented in the install guide but when I try to run 'mkdev cpqciss' as directed I am told this is not found.

I have tried putting the drives onto the new controller but the boot process halts when trying to mount the partitions.

Anyone have any ideas why the mkdev is not working or if there are new instructiions/drivers available (i am using 4.90a at the moment)
