Hi,
Can I connect more than 2 type of OSs (say HP-UX, Windows, LInux and Netware simultaneously) to the VA? I think it can be done by defining the host port behavior.
Is there any know problems/issues with this configuration??

Solution
Yes, this works fine! Not only 2 but all supported OSes can share the same array and ports.
As you said you have to build a host port behavior table. See the installation manual on http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg60188/lpg60188.pdf starting on page 45.
In order to be able to selectively present LUNs to individual servers you need to have SecureManager VA licensed (needed license = total net capacity of all LUNs to be presented). See http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/products/disk_arrays/modular/secure/index.html
I guess you do not want Windows to see your HP-UX LUNs!!!
Look in the SecureManager VA Manual on http://h200001.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28822/lpg28822.pdf starting on page 25 on how the SM tables are built.
Cheers
Peter
