Hi,
Does VA7410 has access restrictions for creating Volumes as XP512/1024 has??. ( XP asks for password when you try to create Open-X volumes through the SVP, which only the HP CE is aware of ). Kindly let me know
Thanks
Karthik

Solution
The access restrictions for the VA are implemented via CommandView SDM, and are less stringent than that of the XP. There is a password, which you can set.
There are no passwords on the VA that you (as a customer) do not know.
The XP is sufficiently complicated that there are passwords required to perform certain tasks. Typically, it's those tasks that would not be done on a daily basis, such as formatting disks.
Good luck,
Vince
