Virtual Array 2100

I have a virtual array 2100 with raid 5 , on hpux 11.0 , and 1 of the 6 hdd isn't working any more, how do i know if there is no quorum configuration in the VA, so i can just remove the faulty hdd and put the new one?

Re: Virtual Array 2100

I think you are referring to DS2100 JBOD. DS2100 is not a virtual array and it does not support hardware RAID. If you have configured RAID 5 from the OS then it is fine. Just replace the faulty disk with the new one.

Re: Virtual Array 2100

The DS2100 is JBOD as previously noted, but only has four drives. Do you mean the VA7100 disk array? Five is the minimum number of drives for that unit. I suggest following instructions. You should be able to find the manual through www.docs.hp.com
