WIN2K DYNAMIC DISK AND ARRAY CONTROLLER
We configured our ML530 server with SMART-3200 Controller and 6x18.2gb drives as RAID 5 with 1 logical drive. We wanted to have 4 partion (c, d, e,f). Because of 3 partion limitation our system Admin changed the WIN2K Basic disk to Dynamic disk and created the volumes. I would have preferred to create 2 logical drives to get around the limitation. I have the following questions.
1. Any issues with this configuration (hardware Raid 5 and win2k dynamic disk simple volume)
2. Any additional performance issues with this configuration..?

Re: WIN2K DYNAMIC DISK AND ARRAY CONTROLLER
There are some issues you may run into if you have the COmpaq EISA (f10) installed check Microsoft kb articles Q242168 and Q259075, for general info on basic versus dymanic see Q175761

No issues other than the potential EISA partition issue already mentioned.
