Waiting For Rebuild
Hope someone can help with this one.
We have had a problem with a disk on one of our Compaq ML570's. The disk failed so we replaced it with a new one. After replacing the disk we expected it to get rebuilt into the array automatically but in the Compaq Array con fig utility it just report that the disk is waiting for rebuild.
Is there something that I need to kick off to make this rebuild into to array ?

Re: Waiting For Rebuild
Which Raid Level are you running with? , Raid 5?
I would recommend run the ADU (Array Dig Utility) From the Smart Start Cd.
Just Boot Off the cd and run it from the Main Menu, if no Errors Occur You Could/Should update the Array controller and System Firmware.
The cause is most likely you have another drive in prefailure and that is preventing the rebuild. If you run the ADU it will find out if there are any other failure about to happen. Please feel free to contact tech support for further assistance if needs be. 1-800-ok-compaq
