What do you do with failed out of warranty EVA drives?

Does HP or some other company buy them so they can resell refurb'd drives?

HP does sell them, see e.g.

Keywords for a quick google search "hp renew 364621R-B22", i.e. 146GB FC 15k disk, reveals a load of suppliers carrying renew disks.

I was really looking for someone buying failed drives (rather than us just destroying them).
