When a mirrored drive goes bad.

This is just a quick question. We have a mirrored drive that has gone bad. We are going to just pop out the bad drive and pop in a new drive. My question is. Is the Array controller going to handle the rebuild of this new drive? or is there anything we have to do? I have swapped out many drives of raid 0+1 and raid 5. But not a Raid 1.

If it's a Compaq Smart Array controller, no problem, just swap the drive
