Windows and Surestore SC10?

In the manual for Surestore SC10 (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28398/lpg28398.pdf), it says that the host-system needs to be a A-/N- or V-class running HP-UX.
Would it not be possible to use it as external disk-storage for a Proliant 1600 running Fedora?

It think it will work if you have an LVD scsi controller in your server

Yes, i think so, that can be worked.
You have to check the following:
1. The SCSI controller driver is compiled to
the kernel or is it compiled as a module...
2. The new Scsi drives will appear as /dev/sd[abcd ... ]
3. You can check that all of the drives are appears in the system with the following commands:
- cat /proc/pci
- dmesg | grep sd
