XP Cache Partition #0 for CA?

Does any use an XP 10K, 12K, 20K or 24K with heavy CA traffic? Has anyone come across any documentation that suggests creating XP cache partition (CLPR) #0 with some memory but no RAID groups?

Your question is related more to the CA cache partitioning, it is covered in the External storage document (to which the storage partitioning is mandatory.

in your case try to monitor the
a) CA xp chip port utilisation (if the bottleneck is here you could dedicate more ports to the CA)
b) SAN Switch ports utilization (if the bottleneck is here you can give more ports into the ISL trunk)

As I suspected, you've directed me to the standard XP Disk/Cache Partition user guide. This guide along with the External storage guide don't address my question about an empty (no RAID Groups) CLPR0 when used with CA/Sync.
