XP1024 - Raid 5 with 8 disks

Hi,

Can anyone confirm if the RAID 5 with 8 disks (8 data + 1 parity ) is already released for the XP1024? And if anyone is using it?

Yes, RAID5 7+1 is available now on the XP1024. You need FW 21.02.24.00/00 or later.

Yes, you can do that... but note that there are configuration limitations/restrictions involved.

The major one is that the 8 drives must span 2 ACP pairs - 4 drives per pair (ie: 2 array groups of 4 drives per ACP pair). You cannot do the 8-drive RAID with only 1 ACP pair.
