XP12000 with ES and DMX

If I have a XP12000 connected to a DMX array with ES(External Storage) is Business Copy the only way to snap that unit from the DMX to XP array without host interaction?

Hi Robert,

If you running HPUX, and have more than 3 host fc HBAs (ie say 4) could you not connect 2 HBAs to the DMX array and the remaining to the XP12K. This is provided that there are available host ports on the arrays. If the above is possible just mirror the DMX data to the XP12K using HPUX LVM.

BC/whatever In_Array XP/Hitachi tools (i.e. TrucCOPy, Replicator, etc)is expen$sive. You can use host-based tools like VxVM or LVM.

With External Storage, I believe you can use AutoPath to move the data.
No matter where you go, there you are.
