Re: XP256 and Fibre Channel configuration
It's the end of the story...
HP confirmed the limitation: the only way is to use another FC adapter (or to buy a XP256, of course).
Thanks to all

Re: XP256 and Fibre Channel configuration
Hi Simone,
Have you received your JNI yet, Installed?
I just wanted to let you know that here in Geneva, we got a happy end (good compromise) to this situation:
HP Switzerland willing to stay in good terms with us has accepted to support our HP9000 environment equipped with JNI cards...
So I can start planning my future installs...
I hope you will find such an arrangement with your local HP support.
All the best
Victor

Re: XP256 and Fibre Channel configuration
I want to caution anyone from using the combination of an HDS box and JNI cards in HPUX...
HDS has dropped support for the JNI cards in HPUX!
Also, in SANs, LUN security does not work on HDS arrays in HPUX mode (mode 08).

No matter where you go, there you are.
