XP512 : Set Host mode to HPUX gives error :set operation failed Error setting host modes 2082

Hello,

I have a XP512 array. I am modifying setting the host mode to "HP-UX (08)" for one of my port, when I do that I get the following error :
"set operation failed Error setting host modes 2082".

Any help on this is greately appreciated!

Hi Smitha,

My first shot would be to verify you are in "Offline" mode vs. "Online" mode. Changing the host mode is an offline task in which no hosts can be accessing the ports during the change.

Curt,

Thanks for the time and response, I actually did disable the storage port of XP512 on the switch, so there are no host accessing the storage port while I attempt to change the host-type.
