I need to set a disk as a hot spare on an old FC60. The disk is 3:3. The man page for amutil is immensely unhelpful.
Anyone know how to use amutil to assign a disk as a hot spare?
This is for HPUX 11.0

Re: amutil and creating a hot spare
Did you try SAM? You will be able to do this from SAM-> disk devices

Solution
Hi,
The "amutil" command can not be used for creating a hot spare. You need to use "ammgr" command as
# ammgr -h 3:3
Refer FC60 user guide at
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28375/lpg28375.pdf
